Jonathan Brown was not the only AFL player to have an altercation with a car while out riding a bike today.
North Melbourne's Aaron Edwards had a near-miss after a driver opened a car door in front of him, forcing the Kangaroo to swerve out the way.
Invincible Brownie tells of crash
Brisbane Lions captain Jonathan Brown tells of how he was hit by a car while cycling on the Gold Coast.
The incident happened on Harbour Esplanade, Docklands, outside AFL House, with Edwards' hand clipping the car door. The 28-year-old suffered a cut finger but the injuries could have been more serious.
Edwards was out riding with teammates Jack Ziebell and Robbie Tarrant.
A North Melbourne spokesman said the trio was having breakfast in Port Melbourne after having ridden to Sandringham when they first heard about the collision between Brown and the car on the Gold Coast.
Weirdly, they had then spoken between themselves about the dangers for cyclists on the road before Edwards' incident happened on their way home.
