COLLINGWOOD has enabled Andrew Krakouer to have to his first high-altitude training camp in the US after the club arranged a last-minute visa for Krakouer, who was unable to go in 2010 and 2011 due to a criminal conviction.
The Magpies made arrangements for Krakouer's visa late on Monday, enabling him to leave with the team for their altitude camp in Park City, half an hour from Salt Lake City, Utah. Only four senior players are unable to go - skipper Nick Maxwell, Alan Didak, Dale Thomas and Tyson Goldsack.
Otherwise, the rest of the senior list is able to go on the camp, the club's first in Utah after several in Arizona. The camp, which is at the American Ski and Snowboard Association, is at the same altitude as the Arizona camps, about 2100 metres.
