Hawthorn grand final substitute Matt Suckling is to join the Western Bulldogs on a three-year deal, it was announced at the Hawks' best and fairest count on Saturday Matt night.

Dogs' coach Luke Beveridge was Suckling's line coach in his previous role at Hawthorn, with the move making it three members of the premiership to leave the club. Brian Lake and David Hale retired.
There was some good news for the Hawks, with Ryan Schoemakers confirming he would stay with the premiers for a further two years.
Josh Gibson was awarded Hawthorn's Peter Crimmins Medal as best player in the year's standout team. The 31-year-old defender beat fan-favourite Cyril Rioli, whose prodigious grand final performance was the only occasion when a Hawk polled the maximum 16 votes in 2015.
Youngster Billy Hartung, who admitted he was devastated when he missed a spot in the grand final team, won most promising player.
Captain Luke Hodge was named the most consistent.
Gibson also won the club's best and fairest in 2013. He started his AFL career at North Melbourne as seventh pick in the 2005 rookie draft, before requesting a trade to Hawthorn at the end of 2009.
He has since become a mainstay of the Hawk defence and after the 2015 grand final spoke about how the club had dangled "the premiership carrot" in front of him to lure him from the Kangaroos.
