Wildly contrasting emotions for Paul Duffield and Adam McPhee following Fremantle's selection decisions today.

Adam McPhee (right) has signed on to play another season for Fremantle.

Fremantle utility Adam McPhee has agreed to terms for a one-year contract extension.

The 223-game veteran has committed to the club through to end of season 2013.

There had been talk McPhee may elect to return to Victoria for family reasons.

But the 30-year-old - who started his AFL career with Fremantle in 2001, before a trade to Essendon and eventual return to WA - will instead stay a Docker.
