Budding Fremantle superstar Nathan Fyfe has re-signed with the club for three years.

Fyfe was due to come out of contract at season's end and, at the age of 22 with a club fairest-and-best already behind him, would have been on the shopping list for many other clubs.

But the Dockers announced on their website early this morning that Fyfe had put pen to paper on a new deal.

“I’ve really enjoyed playing with Freo and I’m from WA,” Fyfe told the Fremantle website.

“Ultimately, the best fit for me was to stay here in Freo.”

The Fyfe re-signing comes in a big week for the Dockers, who rejoined the top four last weekend and play the West Coast Eagles in a western derby on Saturday.

More to come - Fyfe will speak at a press conference later today.

  • Good on him. Although I was hoping he'd be Hawthorn's big signing next year...

    • Actually thought Sydney would sign him on a billion dollar contract for 4 years given their hefty cheque book. Good to see he put loyalty before the $'s.
