Gold Coast have secured Fremantle defender Greg Broughton in their third acquisition of the AFL trade period.
The Suns used two draft picks, including the pick 37 they acquired when trading Tom Hickey to St Kilda, to land the 26-year-old Broughton.
Broughton, who played 68 games for the Dockers after making his debut in 2009, joins Tom Murphy and youngster Jack Martin as the Suns' new faces for next season.
Suns football manager Marcus Ashcroft said Broughton brought experience and versatility to the squad.
"Securing another experienced player like Greg, and maintaining our position with a selection within the first round of the national draft is an excellent result for the club," Ashcroft said.
"We have been active in our pursuit to further strengthen our list, Greg now joins Tom Murphy in adding valuable experience to our list."
