Walters rewarded with two-year Dockers deal
Sent back to Swan Districts earlier in the year for being unfit, Michael Walters is now an integral part of the Dockers' forward line.
Michael Walters' dramatic transformation from "too fat for the AFL" to small forward star has continued, with a new two-year deal at Fremantle.
Banished to train at WAFL club Swan Districts in the pre-season, Walters was an integral part of the Dockers line-up by the time Fremantle's season ended against Adelaide in a semi-final.
Walters finished the season with 22 goals from 10 games, including five in two finals versus Geelong and the Crows.
Walters, 21, is now contracted at Fremantle until the end of the 2014 season.
