GARY Ablett Jnr told Channel Nine’s Footy Show last night he was surprised his critical tweet about Fremantle’s Ryan Crowley had created such a fuss.
During the Dockers’ match against Carlton last Friday the injured Gold Coast captain tweeted, ‘‘Crowley is a joke! Play the ball, not the man!’’ in response to Crowley’s tactics against Carlton captain Chris Judd.
‘‘It has surprised me, the amount of exposure it’s got. I just want to be clear, it wasn’t me attacking him as a person,’’ Ablett said.
‘‘[It] kind of frustrated me.’’ Ablett also revealed that he hopes to be playing again within two to four weeks, depending on medical advice.
