The 2011 AFL draft will be dominated by Greater Western Sydney, but there are plenty of opportunities for other clubs to find some talent.

This week in western Sydney, the Giants will finishing piecing its first squad together and every other club will breathe a sigh of relief: they'll start getting some early draft choices back now.

With GWS having 11 of the first 14 selections in the draft, other clubs will be bereft of chances to secure the best of the latest crop of youngsters, so they'll need to dig deeper in the bargain bin.

Hi Sam, thank you. I see guys like Greene and either Sam Docherty or Nick Haynes in the mix for the first two and think they'll look for some talls later in the piece. There should be a few around still at No. 30, or they might even grab a ruckman there.

You're spot on, he has one of the best kicks in it but the pace has few clubs concerned. Others see him playing in a real inside midfielder role though, where the pace or lack thereof wouldn't matter so much.

Hi Nate. There's a few kids this year that should be drafted - Jimmy Webster (HB/mid) Julian Dobosz (marking fwd), Henry Schade (key back) are the first ones that spring to mind.

Some pundits say that the Blues have enough developing talls. I believe we still need a 194-5cm powerful key defender type. There doesn't seem a real standout worth pick 22. Maybe Tom Curran at 44 if he gets through? Any other possibilities/thoughts?

Hi Fonzy, I think there'll be some good midfielders around at their picks - guys like Kavanagh, Ross, Kerridge, Sheridan are a few who could come into the mix.

Hi Busted. I think Brisbane needs a bit of everything so I don't think they can draft for needs too much. That said they need to get a ruckman or two in. I think the question is whether GWS takes Wingard. It'll be them or Port I think.
