Essendon has handed rookie Gach Nyuon a suspended fine and will make him attend counselling after he allegedly made threats to kill during an argument with an Uber driver on the weekend.

Police arrested the 19-year-old for being drunk and disorderly in a public place in the early hours of Sunday morning and were expected to charge him with a number of offences, including making threats to kill, doing criminal damage and resisting police.
The Bombers released a short statement about the matter on Thursday morning, saying Nyuon would "attend counselling, work with the club's community department and will receive a suspended fine for breaching club protocols".
"In consultation with the leadership group, the club will determine if any further action is required when this process has been completed," the statement said.
Nyuon was Essendon's first pick in the rookie draft at the end of last year and has not yet played a senior game for the Bombers.
