Retailers lead Australian shares lower

The share market has opened lower with retail and consumer related stocks leading the falls.

At 10.15am on Wednesday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was down 16.6 points, or 0.3 per cent, at 5,453.1, while the broader All Ordinaries index was also down 16.6 points, or 0.3 per cent, at 5,431.9.

On the ASX 24, the June share price index futures contract was 22 points lower at 5,455, with 6,627 contracts traded.
