A federal anti-corruption watchdog makes sense ... even if we have no corruption

If you don't think there is any corruption in Australian politics, then you have no need to worry about the millions of dollars' worth of corporate donations to political parties. Such donations would simply be a waste of shareholders' money. Of course, wasting shareholders' money, like corruption, is illegal. So it seems we either need to set up a federal corruption watchdog or inquire into why so many companies have wasted so much of their shareholders' money for so many years.
