Australia's unrestricted political lobbyists

Tasmanian senator Jacqui Lambie has a plan to toughen regulation of the lobbying industry. The existing, weak regulations should probably either be expanded, strengthened and enforced, or dropped altogether. Lambie is building support on the Senate crossbench in a bid to convince one of the major political parties to join her push. That would allow her proposal to pass the Senate and, with the support of the Coalition, it could pass the House of Representatives, too. There are many good reasons for this to happen.
