I'll admit I'm not a big fan of soccer - it will never be football. Even though I've been known to sit up too late watching that English Premier League highlights show, which is the best way to watch the game, with all the goals from every fixture jammed into 60 minutes. I also wrote a letter to English player Paul Gascoigne once, when he was yellow carded in the 1990 World Cup semi-final against Germany, offering my support and condolences. Yet I can't remember the last time I saw a game live. It was probably Pee Wee soccer at Majura Oval and my kids were playing. And that was at least 10 years ago.
