Let's debate what we know, not what we can't predict

There is no link between the ability to model the economy and the ability to manage the economy. None. Indeed, the recent obsession with economic modelling and 10-year forecasts seems to have reduced the ability of politicians to both adapt to changing circumstances and explain what is going on to the public.
