Let's teach Iraqis to lose with style

Perhaps there is no choice, as Prime Minister Tony Abbott says, about sending good money after bad in Iraq. It's setting ourselves up yet again – as Australian politicians and military leaders have done repeatedly for more than 60 years – for stalemate, skirmishes without consequences, and effective defeat. It may buy us time. But time for what?
