A study by researchers at Monash University claims to have shown that parents of children at expensive private schools have higher aspirations for their children than those at (budget) Catholic or (free) public schools. It is hardly ground-breaking or startling information and could be an example of what Christopher Pyne had in his sights – before he was rolled – about how universities spend their money.
