Uluru statement: Aborigines prefer the horizon to the foreground

Delegates to the Aboriginal constitutional convention probably did themselves, as well as indigenous Australians, a great favour last week by making some perfectly reasonable, but presently politically impossible, proposals about constitutional recognition for our first people.
