GoalsOnTrack turns all of your goals into projects, complete with multiple tasks and sub-tasks, deadlines, action plans and progress reports. It's a lot more powerful than the other apps - and you'd hope so, for the asking price - but if you need that extra push, GoalsOnTrack may well micro-manage you to success. The mobile app includes most of the features of the online dashboard.
Don't Break the Chain
The premise is simple: you merely cross off each day when you successfully accomplish your goal, and you use that as momentum to keep going. The longer you use it, the less likely you are to ''break the chain''. The app works for only one goal at a time, however, and it has to be a goal that you work on every day rather than intermittently.
Lift is all about keeping you accountable. In essence, it's a social network geared towards goal setting, with habits that you can ''participate in'' with other Lift users, such as ''go to gym'', ''talk to at least one stranger'' and ''drink more water''. You check into the habit every time, and you can see and comment on everyone else's check-ins, too.
Based on the best-selling book of the same name, The Habit Factor breaks your goals down into specific actions (or ''habits'') to do on a regular basis. To keep you motivated, there are plenty of progress indicators and reports to show how far along you are, as well as photos to help you visualise each goal.
Way of Life
Way of Life is refreshingly straightforward. It uses a colour-coding system for tracking multiple goals on a daily basis: green means you achieved it, red means you didn't, and the blue ''skip'' option is there to accommodate tasks you don't need to perform every day. The beauty of this app is how easy it is to keep track of everything and check your progress at a glance.
