Apple's own Cards app offers a quick and easy way to send printed greeting cards, customised with your own photos, anywhere in the world. Like other Apple products, the cards have a premium price tag, costing $4.99 each. Delivery takes nine to 16 business days.

This app isn't limited to greeting cards and postcards - you can also create professional-looking invitations, stationery, announcements and calendars from an impressive database of more than 600 designs. Cards can be saved as images or sent via email, text message or social media free, or you can have them printed and posted locally for $2.29 each, with a delivery time of two to three weeks.
