24 end-of-the-week gaming jigsaw puzzles!
We've had a lot of "how the hell did you get that from two pieces?" moments, and also a handful of "okay, there's the whole image... what the hell is it?" moments as well. My aim is more for something in between, but I'm still working out that balance.
It was fun giving out prizes while I had them, but ultimately I think the recently-added rule, that the first correct guess wins the right to pick next week's game, has proven more successful. That said, I reserve the right to chuck in an occasional iOS game code in future as I have them available.
How are we feeling about this weekly game? Do we want to carry it on into 2013, or is time to find a new activity to keep you entertained on a Friday? Regular commenter and former GameTaco co-conspirator Smoolander suggested a caption contest as a jigsaw supplement; I put up a screenshot from a game, you guys post amusing captions in the comments. Does this sound like something we'd want to try out?
For now, though, you have a puzzle to solve, pictured above. If you've just arrived on the scene and haven't participated on previous Fridays, the game is simple. The image above is a virtual jigsaw puzzle made from a screenshot from a video game. Roughly on the hour, from 9am to 5pm AEST, I will be adding a few new pieces, until the whole image is revealed at the end of the day. The first person to correctly guess the game's full title in the comments below will be declared victor, earning the right to pick next week's game.
Get to work, people!
