Okay, be honest: raise a hand if you're sick of me writing about the Wii U.

It's okay, I can take it. With the release of a major new piece of gaming hardware, it's important to give it the coverage it warrants, but at the same time it can leave those who are not interested a little fed up.

Consider our regular Friday jigsaw a well-timed distraction. Scubafinch was the first to correctly identify last week's game, and so earned the right to choose this weeks. The game he has chosen is... well, I suspect it will be a hard one to guess.

I have modified the format slightly this week, starting with a single puzzle piece and planning to add a smaller number of pieces more often during the day. If all goes to plan (spoiler: it won't go to plan) I will be adding two new pieces approximately on the hour, every hour for the whole day.

Taking a break from the Wii U, next week we have some indie goodness to look forward to. I have interviewed two Australian independent studios who have recently completed extremely ambitious new games. Melbourne Endgame will be bringing platform puzzler Fractured Soul to the 3DS early in January, and Sydney's Epiphany has already released their ambitious real-time strategy title Frozen Hearth. You can look forward to extensive interviews with both studios next week and previews of the two new games.

I have also had hands-on with the first couple of hours of the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot, as well as interviewing the art director. I'll be bringing you that interview and my impressions of the game next week.

Lots to look forward to, but for now turn your attention to the jigsaw puzzle. The first to correctly name the game in the comments below will earn the right to pick next Friday's game.

Have fun everyone, and have a great weekend.
