Images allegedly showing the front panel of the yet-to-be-released iPhone 5 have been circulating on the web via a repair site.
The images were leaked to tech blogs over the weekend by ubreakifix.com, a site that normally specialises in fixing broken devices.
The images show a 4-inch display panel and a similar styling to the existing iPhone 4 and 4S albeit with a slightly larger screen, appearing to confirm rumours that have been swirling around the net for some time.
Other rumours suggest that the next-gen iPhone will also feature a larger battery and a new smaller 19 pin connector port.
The iPhone 5 is expected to be announced on September 12 with pre-orders going live in the US the same day and Europe and the UK a week or so later.
Apple rival Samsung is expected to reveal its smartphone/tablet hybrid the Galaxy Note II on August 29 at an event in Berlin.
