A handful of new Google devices went on sale yesterday, and some have already sold out.

The new LG Nexus 4, Google's latest flagship smartphone, is sold out on the Google Play store after going on sale midday yesterday in Australia. The website's pages for the $349 8GB and $399 16GB models of the smartphone now say "Coming Soon".

In Australia, Ausdroid reported that the 16GB Nexus 4 sold out in just 22 minutes. The Next Web reported that the phones sold out in the US in less than an hour.

The LG Nexus 4 features a 4.7-inch screen and is perhaps the most elegant Android smartphone on the market. It sold out despite not being capable of connecting to LTE networks, which provide the fastest data speeds but are not available in all parts of the country, depending on the telco you use.

Also on sale yesterday was the Nexus 10 tablet by Samsung. The Nexus 10 is Google's answer to the fourth-generation 9.7-inch iPad and features a 2560-by-1600 high-resolution display with 300 pixels per inch. The Nexus 10 was available at $469 for a 16GB model and $569 for a 32GB model though the 32GB model has sold out.

Google also beefed up its line of Nexus 7 small-sized tablets yesterday by adding a 32GB model. It's available for $299.
