Zaky Mallah's marijuana leaf hat aside, the Q&A audience is usually brimming with members who are best described as the thinking woman's (and man's) crumpet. Which is why Hot Guys Of The Q&A Audience was born.

Let's face it, despite the odd panel member passing out or a cheeky tweet being broadcast, the show would be nothing without an audience peppered with well groomed arts/law undergrads and the Tumblr was the most exciting thing to come out of the last week's episode thanks to Adelaide radio host and mathematician Casey Briggs.

"I made the blog on Monday during Q&A after seeing a hot guy on the screen. I wondered if there were more and came up with the idea from there. After tweeting the idea I got some strong support from thirsty people on the internet," he said.

There is no fixed criteria as to what constitutes a "hot guy" in the audience and Briggs is keen to continue the blog's "thirst-positive" ethos.

"I try to cast a fairly wide net and include people from all sorts of ethnic and cultural backgrounds, keeping in mind the primary criterion that they be hot."

He has no plans to start a sister site focusing on female members of the "leftie lynch mob".

"With the women in the audience there isn't the same kind of archetype of a mid-20s white guy with a beard stroking his chin and looking generically concerned, so it just wouldn't work in the same way."

Meanwhile, there is a new satirical Twitter account that shows us the things we can assume are Googled inside Parliament House in Canberra - @GovGoogles.

While the rest of us are too busy typing in our own names, our ex's new girlfriend's name and cancer symptoms, our pollies may be trying to find things like "Detention Centre stock photos happy people" and the Eric Abetz inspired "Will gay marriage cause bushfire".
