Madison Luton won the Achieve-ment Award at the Canberra Times REIACT Awards for Excellence 2012 ceremony, one of many wins by the Luton Properties team.
Penny Lithgow from REIACT said Ms Luton's winning of the award, which recognises excellence among newcomers to the industry, was no surprise. ''They are a very focused team,'' she said.
Peter Blackshaw Manuka took out the award for Large Residential Agency of the Year for the third year running, while newcomer McGrath Dickson was named Medium Residential Agency of the Year.
Commercial Agency of the Year was awarded to Raine and Horne Commercial Canberra, whose employees Mark Terracini and Adam Kercher won the Commercial Salesperson of the Year and Commercial Property Manager of the Year respectively.
REIACT event co-ordinator Annie Gregg said last night's ceremony marked the 18th year of awards for Canberra's real estate identities.
''They're recognising excellence in the real estate industry,'' she said.
''The major winners from these awards go to the national awards, where Canberra has batted well above its weight over the years.''
Wayne Harriden from Independent Property Group won Residential Salesperson of the Year, and Jason Roses from LJ Hooker Tuggeranong won Senior Auctioneer of the Year as well as the coveted People's Choice Award.
Maria Selleck Properties was welcomed into the Hall of Fame, for taking out the award for Small Residential Agency of the Year again.
Other inductees included Luton Properties and Alexandra Scott, as Residential Property Manager.
Luton Properties also took out the Innovation, Community Service, Communications and Education and Training awards.
Emily Ferris from Luton Properties won Corporate Support Person of the Year, which last year went to colleague Sophie Luton.
Ms Luton's mother, Danielle Neale, also took home an award, with her agency Portfolio Collection winning the small agency section of the Canberra Times Print Advertising Award.
The 2013 Real Estate Institute of Australia national awards will be held at Parliament House in March.
