The home at 12 Indi Close, Crace, fully rotates in 10 minutes.
It was the dream design of local builder John Andriolo who first thought of the concept as a 10-year-old.
The home rotates 360 degrees by way of 28 wheels and two quiet motors. The home passed in with no bids at LJ Hooker's recent red carpet midweek auction event. The auction opened the bidding at $1 million, but dropped to $900,000.
But negotiations with interested parties have continued since the auction.
LJ Hooker has confirmed contracts exchanged on the property on Thursday.
A Canberra couple has purchased the rotating property and will downsize from their home in Nicholls. Anna and Phillip Burroughs had been searching for the ideal home and had looked all over the territory.
Ms Burroughs said she had fallen for the home straight away after she had her first peek inside it.
Australian Property Monitors data indicates the sale is a record price for the new suburb.
The previous record was for 17 Carrawa Street in Crace, which sold for $783,590 in February 2012.
