Graffiti, overgrown grass and cracked bitumen are partially hidden by signs promoting Space Macquarie, the future of which remains unknown after developers Redevelopments Pty Ltd went into receivership earlier this year.

No update on the proposed 322 apartment project has been publicised, despite expressions of interest for the site closing almost three weeks ago.

Administrators were appointed in late August, but Eddie Senatore from SBR Insolvency and Reconstruction said he couldn't provide comment on the future of the development.

"As I understand it, negotiations are pending," he said.

"We'll be doing a report to creditors, which should come out in a couple of weeks' time."

Expressions of interest for the site closed on November 15. Neither Mr Senatore nor CBRE, the commercial real estate company which handled the process, could comment on the issue.

It is not known how many apartments were sold prior to Redevelopments Pty Ltd going into receivership.

The Linq Apartments in Belconnen is another project that has fallen behind schedule, but Independent Property Group's sales and marketing director John Minns said the delays were not due to lack of take up.

Mr Minns said the market had "certainly changed" since the project was first launched, but emphasised that lack of interest was not a concern for this development with approximately half of the 248 apartments released in stages 1 and 2 already sold.

"There are plenty of sales, in order for the development to proceed," he said.

Mr Minns said there had been a number of delays, due to issues such as the finalising of contracts and inclusions, which had pushed the development's completion date back.

"When it was originally released, they were expecting it to be completed by the end of next year," he said.

"It's now been pushed back to October 2014."

Mr Minns said he hoped to have further information for buyers later this week.
