THE GREAT ESCAPE
1.30pm: The Australian War Memorial's free prisoner-of-war film series ends with the classic The Great Escape (1963, PG), based on Paul Brickhill's true account of a mass Allied escape from Stalag Luft III prison camp during World War II. The film stars Steve McQueen, Richard Attenborough, James Garner and Charles Bronson. It's in the BAE Systems Theatre.
