WHAT an allen key brings together, let no man put asunder.
Hornsby residents Lynne Klanbida and Chad Martin wed at Tempe's Ikea on Thursday, having won the flatpack fairytale ahead of 500 other applicants.
''We got an email asking if we'd like to say our I do's at Ikea and we said that sounds like us,'' Martin told Zoe Ferguson.
''They asked for a photo of us and 100 words of why we thought we should win.'' The bride-to-be teared up when first shown her reception room adorned with, naturally enough, Ikea furniture, lighting and decorations.
Discount Nordic furniture holds a special place in the couple's relationship, as well as their home.
''The first time Chad put the TV unit together, I knew he was the one,'' Klanbida said.
Having met in 2007 while working in retail, it was only four years until Chad popped the question overseas.
''We were in LA, overlooking the lights. We like to do things differently but always romantically,'' Martin said.
Eighty friends and family joined the couple for the one-hour ceremony outside the superstore, along with 80 Ikea Facebook fans, the media and, we suspect, the odd passing A380.
Ikea surprised the couple with a gift voucher after the nuptials, and provided the spread for the reception.
The menu included a flatpack cake complete with an allen key, and - you guessed it - Swedish meatballs.
