COMEDY TONIGHT
Canberra Rep’s production of the comedy Twelfth Night, or What you Will is updated to a 1930s setting by director Ed Wightman for its story of twins, a shipwreck, love and folly. It’s on at Theatre 3 at 2pm and 8pm. Tickets $40/$35 available one hour before performances at the theatre.
FAMILY SPIRIT
In Canberra playwright Bruce Hoogendoorn’s play Warts and All, 17-year-old Simon (Will Huang) has been sent to stay with his grandmother in Queensland for a change of scene after he developed osteoarthritis. which destroyed his promising running career. He’s not interested in her family history project until the ghost of a long-dead relative appears to him – and things become complicated. Courtyard Studio, Canberra Theatre Centre, 2pm and 8pm. HAIKU TIME
Haiku in the Wetland is a free event at 2.30pm at the Banksia Street Wetland, O’Connor (near Mulga Street). Write the short form of poetry called haiku, learn about the wetland and enjoy afternoon tea. Bring paper and a pen. All ages welcome. It is hosted by the University of Canberra International Poetry Studies Institute and ACT Environment and Sustainable Development Directorate.

MIRROR IMAGE
The world premiere season of [ital]Mirror Image – Reflections on People and Land[end ital] is on at at ANU Arts Centre Main Theatre at 8pm. It is a new dance theatre work by Mirramu Dance Company directed by Elizabeth Cameron Dalman, Dancecology from Taiwan and Jyh Shyong Wong, director of Damansara Performing Arts Centre Dance Company. The project is a cultural exchange among the three companies and focusss on the relationship between people and landscape and the importance of natural places. Also on Sunday at 3pm. FLAMENCO LEGEND

TWO GROUPS
Canberra’s Andante Andante Choir will perform choral arrangements of the music of ABBA followed by Shenanigans Barbershop Quartet singing jazz and love songs set for four-part a cappella at the High Court of Australia at 1pm. Admission free.
OPEN DAY
The Canberra Airport Open Day will feature loads of aircraft displays and children’s activities. Climb aboard a Qantas, QantasLink, or Virgin Australia plane, or take a step back in time with a display from the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society. Free entry. 9.30am to 1.30pm.
TOY TIME
The Canberra Toy & Hobby Fair is on at Kaleen High School, 104 Baldwin Drive, Kaleen from 9am to 3pm. MATURE RAY
Director Satyajit Ray often said Charulata (The Lonely Wife), 1964, PG was his favourite of his films. In 1901 Charu (Madhabi Mukherjee) is the smart but idle wife of Calcutta newspaper editor Bhupati (Sailen Mukherjee). He encourages his cousin, the writer Amal (Soumitra Chatterjee) to devote time to Charu, in the hope it will draw out her own ambitions as a poet but it also also draws out the repressed erotic attraction between the pair.
