Ephemeral at PhotoAccess

Two new shows at PhotoAccess examine the ephemeral nature of some experiences: In Grounded, Georgia Black explores "transience and impermanence as a state of mind. Primarily a printmaker, in this exhibition Black has created delicate and subtle works that embrace the relationship between printmaking and photography". And in Surfacing, Caroline Huf has a series of still and moving images exploring ideas of surface, substance and duration. "Our experience of time fluctuates, now slow, now fast, malleable with our emotions, but one moment seems to come before the next'," she says. Grounded, by Georgia Black and Surfacing, by Caroline Huf, are showing until November 6 at PhotoAccess, Manuka Arts Centre, Cnr Manuka Circle and New South Wales Crescent, Griffith.
