Ian McFarlane's new collection of poetry, The Shapes of Light - rediscovering poetry in a post-poetic age, will be launched at 4pm on Sunday, March 23, at the Tilba Winery, off the Princes Highway, 11 kilometres south of Narooma. Refreshments will be available and books will be on sale. A talk by Rafael Epstein about his book, Prisoner X, on March 18, is open for bookings.

STORY PRIZE
Entries are now open for the 2014 ABR Elizabeth Jolley Short Story Prize. This year, online entries as well as hard copies will be accepted. The 2014 Jolley Prize has a first prize of $5000 and supplementary prizes of $2000 and $1000. An entry must be a single-authored short story of between 2000 and 5000 words, written in English. Stories must not have been published or be on offer to other prizes or publications for the duration of the Jolley Prize. Entries close at midnight on May 1. Entry costs $15 for ABR subscribers or $20 for non-subscribers. ABR will publish the three shortlisted stories in 2014 and announce the overall winner at a special event during the 2014 Melbourne Writers' Festival.
