Molly Meldrum has a dislocated shoulder and four cracked ribs after his fall in Thailand.
In an update on his condition, the Seven Network, which is screening a mini-series about the music industry icon's life next month, has reported he remains in a Bangkok hospital after the accident.
Meldrum slipped on a street after getting out of a taxi during a holiday on Sunday night.
Doctors say he will be in hospital for the next couple of days recovering from what was described as a nasty fall.
A day earlier, Meldrum was said to be in good spirits when he described himself as "a walking disaster" as doctors were "trying to put everything back together".
The 72-year-old former Countdown host was seriously injured after falling from a ladder at his home in December 2011.
In 2014, during a trip to Perth where he appeared on a Seven telethon, Meldrum also reportedly suffered burns when smoking while using the bathroom.
The mini-series Molly, with Samuel Johnson playing Meldrum, screens next month.
