Haven't seen it, but as the TV series wasn't as funny as any funeral plan commercial, I don't think I'll be seeing the film.

Hmmm...that plot line sounds suspiciously like that 70s Aussie 'classic' sequel, "Barry McKenzie Holds His own" (where a Transylvanian Dracula like character Count Plasma kidnaps Dame Edna thinking she is Queen Elizabeth II).
One thing for sure, this review makes it sound like Kath and Kim in the cinema is neither noice nor different.

They never where funny or watchable just uncouth coarse cringeworthy and utter garbage representative of nothing I have ever seen or heard in this country
The very worst of television hopefully soon to be gone for good
Perhaps if we are lucky taking the Shire and big brother with them

Mercy blow through - It sounds suspiciously like the plot from "Barry McKenzie holds his own" (1974). Barry McKenzie's Aunt Edna is kidnapped by Count Von Plasma, the vampire head of an isolated Eastern European dictatorship who mistakes her for the Queen of England.
