James Marsh has made two of the most remarkable documentaries of recent years - Project Nim (2011), the story of a a callously wrongheaded experiment in which a chimpanzee was raised as a human, and Man on Wire (2008), an account of Philippe Petit's 1974 tightrope walk between New York's Twin Towers.
