Harrison Ford is recovering after surgery on a broken leg suffered during the filming of the new Star Wars episode.
Ford's publicist, Ina Treciokas, said that the 71-year-old actor will begin rehabilitation shortly.
"He's doing well and looks forward to returning to work," Treciokas said in the statement.
Ford was injured a week ago during filming of the much-anticipated sequel at Pinewood Studios outside of London.
The accident involved a spacecraft door falling on the actor's leg. Ford's Han Solo pilots the Millennium Falcon, which is returning in Stars Wars: Episode VII.
Disney has said that shooting is continuing while Ford recuperates. He is expected to be sidelined for up to two months.
Ford is one of several original Star Wars stars returning to the JJ Abrams-directed sequel, which is set for release in December 2015.
He is joined by fellow alums Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Peter Mayhew. The film will also star Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong'o, Andy Serkis, Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac.
