Winning breakthrough act, best rock act and best drummer at the 2013 WA Music Awards, The Love Junkies have played shows with the likes of La Dispute, Birds of Tokyo, Papa Vs Pretty and British India.

This EP is a mixed bag of tracks. Self-produced, recorded in a bedroom, the songs tumble and fight their way out of this follow up to the band’s debut album Maybelene.

Well, actually it isn’t so much a follow up as it is a preview, on the one hand of some highly charged Love Junkies’ songs (Chemical Motivation, Blowing on the Devil’s Strumpet), and of some less intense, groovier tracks ear marked for later solo projects (Gloria to my Dystopia, Storm Troopers). Personally, I preferred the latter.
