Leave me out of Spice Girls reunion, says Victoria Beckham, as 20th anniversary looms

Victoria Beckham will not take part in any Spice Girls 20th anniversary celebrations this year, her representative has confirmed.

Speaking to TMZ, a representative of the fashion designer, who performed with the '90s girl band as Posh Spice, denied  she would have any involvement in the band's heavily rumoured reunion.

"[Beckham] has been very respectful about the fabulous time they had together in the past. However, her focus is now very much her family and fashion business," her representative said.

Following a brief flirtation with a solo music career, Beckham's post-Spice life has seen her firmly transition into the fashion world.

The 41-year-old launched her eponymous label in 2008, adding a high-street spin-off, Victoria by Victoria Beckham, three years later. The businesswoman now has a London bricks-and-mortar store (with a New York location on the way) and her dresses have been worn on the red carpet by everyone from Gwyneth Paltrow to Beyonce.

She also has four children with husband, former England soccer captain David Beckham: Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, Cruz, 10, and Harper, 4.

The news comes after Beckham's fellow Spice Girl Mel B strongly hinted that the group would reunite in 2016 during an appearance on UK television last month.

"It is our 20th anniversary this year and it would be rude not to celebrate, so hopefully something will be happening pretty soon," the former X Factor judge said on Alan Carr's New Year Specstacular.

She refused to elaborate, saying: "I can't tell you what it is yet."

If a reunion does happen, it won't be the band's first.

The group previously reunited in 2007 for a world tour. However, after 17 additional British dates were added, the group made the decision to cut the tour short, skipping its Australian, South African and Asian dates.

They came together once again to perform at the Closing Ceremony of the 2012 London Olympic Games.
