'Directioner' hysteria in Perth has forced one of the biggest entertainment vendors in the country to reveal where the One Direction shows will be staged.

Ticketek Australia took to Twitter and dismissed rumours the UK boy band would be cancelling their November 2013 Perth shows due to construction workers at the venue walking off the job yesterday.

"WA Directioners GREAT news!! We can quash those rumours & confirm One Direction will be coming to the new Perth Arena on 28 & 29 Sep 2013!" the vendor tweeted.

On sale dates are yet to be confirmed.

Sony (the band’s record label) was inundated with panicked enquiries yesterday and Ticketek are now encouraging fans to join an online wait list for official updates.

Local One Direction online discussion has now shifted focus to warn interstate visitors they are not welcome in Perth.

"If anyone who isn't from Perth gets tickets especially people who have tickets for 2013 and went to the tour [the recent promotional visit] we missed out on I will end you," a tweet from the Perth Directioners read.

Construction on the 15,500 seat Perth Arena is due to be completed in August.

Former Wham! frontman George Michael is scheduled to be the first performer to appear at the complex which has been described as a "squashed beer can".
