  A few weeks down the road Tangier has grown more on me, but I think its reached its peak now. For me, the initial riff Thorpie plays would have been great, a bit more of, through the CD, it representing that Thorpe sound, which I think mixed with his representation of Morrocco, would have made the work better for me, but who can say what could have been. Certainly compared to Thorpe`s other albums, the depth of sound, and arrangements are a long way ahead, certainly of his Oz albums. As a long term fan the one missing thing was a good producer really getting hold of Bill`s work and refining it on record. Thorpie stated he didn`t want to be thought of as a Heritage act, this CD proves he wasn`t, a worthy final album, but in some ways could have been better, but overall a great finale.

  My ex husband gave me this cd as he knows my many tastes. Put it in my glove box and found it some 6 months later...... I am an avid music fan and consider myself to be insatiable. I played the cd one evening at dusk on my way to a dinner. Continued driving despite already getting there just to hear the entire album!!. Loved it and relished in the music and mood swings. Exotic and happy. Having been to Turkey twice, made it more special. Suggest you put that holiday on your bucket list x

  Firstly I would like to review the reviewer. You need a new job because you suck at this one.
  This is an amazing piece of music. It takes you on a ride of emotion and as he said, It needs to be listened to with the volume at full blast, but this is the only way to listen to Thorpie at any time. It is so sad not to have Thorpie here any more. Imagine being at a huge stadium and having Thorpie playing with the full Orchestra and everyone else that had anything to do with Tangier. Listening to the full CD without a break, with each track flowing into the other. One of the great pieces of work. Love it and wish Thorpie was still with us so I could tell him so. Do yourself a favour and take a look at Thorpie doing Tangier at the Basement. Check it out on Youtube."Amazing". Thorpie Rocks!!
