Australian rapper Iggy Azalea may have had a rapid rise through the US charts but on Friday she took a big fall: right off the stage at a concert.
The 24-year-old was performing her number one hit Fancy at Hollywood's Avalon Theatre in a pre-concert for the MTV Video Music Awards when a sudden twirl ended in an impromptu stage dive.
News of the fall was trending on Twitter as people commented on #PoorIggy and "That I-G-G-Bye" - a pun on how the song spells out the rapper's first name.

Azalea, unhurt, continued performing after being helped to her feet. Afterwards she saw the funny side of her accident, even posting a video on Instagram.
"Sorry but it would be a crime not to share this with you all, I know I laughed. #StillFinishedtheSongTho #KeptOnRapping #TheShowMustGoOn."
Azalea may be gaining a reputation for soldiering on through stage mishaps. Performing at the US Dancing With The Stars final in May, her in-ear microphone started playing the wrong beat. She apologised to the audience, took the mic out and kept singing, unfazed.
"Sh-t happens," she tweeted.
The girl from Mullumbimby, NSW has racked up seven nominations at this year's MTV VMA awards, including for best video and best female act.
Okay. Whoever made That I-G-G-BYE into a trending topic because of that spill, I hate you. But I admire your brilliant wordplay. — Gerrick D. Kennedy (@GerrickKennedy) August 23, 2014
