An online campaign is underway to exile hip hop artist Pitbull to the most remote shopping centre in the United States.

The Back In Time singer agreed to be involved with a promotion which would see him perform at the Walmart store which receives the most 'Likes' on Facebook.
The campaign backfired late last week and people are now rallying to send the Miami rapper, who refers to himself as "Mr Worldwide", to Kodiak - a remote island in frosty Alaska.
Music journalist and blogger David Thorpe launched operation #ExilePitball late last week together with fellow writer Jon Hendren.
"Pitbull is having a contest where he'll visit the local Walmart that gets the most FB Likes. [Jon Hendren] and I are sending him to Kodiak, Alaska," Thorpe tweeted.
"Do you like imagining Pitbull being mauled by a Kodiak bear on a remote, frozen island?" he added along with a link to Walmart Kodiak's Facebook page.
"In 1912, a volcano erupted on the island of Kodiak. Darkness blanketed the town for 3 days. 100 years later, Pitbull will be sent there," Hendren replied.
Kodiak has a population of around 6,000 people - and 3,000 brown bears.
The small community prides itself on its expansive wastewater treatment plant and industrial port.
During the northern hemisphere summer - when Pitball will be performing - the average maximum temperature reaches about 15 degrees centigrade.
Bear attacks are common as the majority of the island consists of a national wildlife refuge.
"I was at a village on Kodiak last month. A city councilman picked us up and immediately said, 'We have to go get my gun. Bears are out'," a local from a nearby area tweeted recently.
The local Walmart has more than 34,100 likes and is leading the tally for the "Facebook Likes for Pitbull" competition according to Thorpe.
The #ExilePitbull hashtag has generated more than 1,200 tweets which were read by more than seven million people in two days.
There are more than 4,400 Walmart chain stores in the US which provide budget clothing and groceries to more than 200 million customers every week.
Like the hypothermia he may contract, the singer who has collaborated with Jennifer Lopez and Enrique Iglesias, has given in to the prank and is now playing along.
"Picture me with a Kodiak...Ha! daleeeeee!!!!! #exilepitbull," he tweeted.
Following his Walmart appearance, Pitbull will embark on a national tour down under kicking off in Perth on August 23.
