Chunky threesome

Chunky Move's latest season gives the floor to three wildly different but equally talented young choreographers as part of its Next Move program.

It Cannot Be Stopped is being created by Atlanta Eke, Benjamin Hancock and Paea Leach, all prolific dancers in their own right, and will feature a ''philosophical exploration of the mortal, ageing body'', a personal work examining the building of empires and a work inspired by lines of flight.

The season will play out across three distinct spaces within the Chunky Move studios in Southbank and opens on June 19 for 10 shows.

Two new musical theatre prizes

The Rob Guest Endowment Award for emerging musical theatre talent, now in its sixth year, has added two new laurels to its prize pool.

The Sue Nattrass  Award, named after the former Melbourne Festival director (left), will give $10,000 for tuition to someone now working in a technical department in the field.

The same amount will go to a  musical theatre musician under the Brian Stacey Award,  previously administered by Live Performance Australia and  Helpmann Awards committee.

The two prizes bring the Rob Guest Endowment total prize pool to $45,000,  distributed after a rigorous audition process and final gala concert in October.

Applications are open  until June 16 at robguestendowment.com.au.
