Manor mystery still seems sharp after 60 years of sleuthing

Jason Blake AT A time when our mainstream theatre has upped its degree of difficulty (the STC's black hole Pygmalion, Belvoir's un-American Death of a Salesman), sitting down to a Mousetrap that looks as staid and woody as you imagined is perversely pleasurable.

    Moribund is right! Also lazy with no scene changes.....second act picked up but first act was a challenge to stay awake. It may be the original but it felt like I had been there a millions times before. Performances were good.
