Celebrity chef Marco Pierre White says he has never been so insulted in 25 years in the public eye as during an interview with Adelaide's Triple M announcer Dale Lewis.
Lewis, a presenter on Triple M, insulted White about his three marriages and famed temper and called him a "rude prick".
The interview, which was pre-recorded to promote Network Ten's MasterChef: The Professionals which screens on Sunday, was pulled, although it is available on the internet.
Marco Pierre White: 'When you treat people with total contempt then your career, whatever world you are in, is limited.'
However, the breakfast team still discussed the incident on air.
Pierre White said that apart from being insulted, the language Lewis used was inappropriate for the timeslot.
"Children and mothers are listening to that show and they should not be exposed to that sort of language," Pierre White said while visiting Brisbane with MasterChef judge Matt Preston on Thursday.
"When you are a presenter of a show like that you have a responsibility because you are an ambassador and setting examples.
"If I was an individual advertising on that radio station I would seriously consider my association, and my company's association, with individuals of that nature."
He said the interview said more about Lewis, who played more than 180 AFL games with the Sydney Swans, as a person.
"It's all about him (Lewis) and not the guests," Pierre White said.
"He is very happy to treat the guests with total contempt and when you treat people with total contempt then your career, whatever world you are in, is limited.
"Never in 25 years and the thousands of interviews I have done, whether they be TV, radio or print, I've never been insulted like that ever."
