Vampire attack scene ... 'Octagonal' hotel recently in South Yarra has been linked to The Block.
No amount of garlic or holy water can put a stake in this rumour.
An upcoming series of The Block has been linked to Melbourne’s notorious 'vampire gigolo' murder case.
A rundown South Yarra hotel, where a bloodied woman was found covered in bite marks, has been snapped up for $7.35 million.

The buyer, a local developer, is believed to be connected with Channel Nine, prompting wide-spread speculation the eight-storey building with 360-degree views could be turned into a boutique hotel for the reality renovation show’s 11th season.
The octagonal Hotel Saville, sitting on Commercial Road, has been operating since the 1970s.
In 2002, the building became linked with Melbourne's underworld. Hotel staff found a naked and unconscious woman. She had been raped and part of her tongue was missing.
Self-professed "vampire" Shane Chartres-Abbott was arrested a short time after the attack, but he was shot dead a year later during the middle of his trial.
The 28-year-old had earlier told police he was a 200-year-old vampire and needed to drink blood to survive.
No one is denying The Block may film at the hotel where the brutal attack occurred, but no one is confirming it either.
Real estate agent Ted Dwyer, of Colliers International, said there were more than 200 interested buyers for the property, which included a permit for 51 properties and a car park. But he wouldn’t say if Nine had been in-touch about it.
"It’s a fantastic location for any future development and it will have fantastic city views," he said.
Channel Nine has also remained tight-lipped.
"We don’t make any comment on any properties," said Nine’s communications director Victoria Buchan.
The network typically doesn’t reveal the location of The Block ahead of filming to avoid spoiling the surprise for fans of the renovation show.
The next season, filming in Prahran, is expected to go to air later this year.
If the hotel does make an appearance on The Block, it won’t be until 2015 or 2016.
