River Cottage Food Heroes, LifeStyle Food, 8.30pm

HAS it been only 12 years since Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall went to live the back-to-basics good life in the Dorset countryside? He must have been making a dozen series a year. But good on him - his shows are invariably interesting, entertaining and mouth-watering. Tonight he's putting on a banquet for 50 friends and mentors who have helped him along the way, so there are plenty of clips of old adventures and new recipes. Tonight's menu includes a starter made with various wild mushrooms, and a canape of pig's tongue and cheek. Dessert is apple crumble, and Hugh's pudding mentor, Barbara, doesn't mind telling him he's overdone it with the cinnamon.

Celebrity Wife Swap USA, LifeStyle You, 8.30pm

SINGER Carnie Wilson and actor Tracey Gold (Growing Pains) trade places in a typically good episode. Gold is a neat freak whose house is always impeccable despite her hectic routine, and her four sons are forbidden to eat outside the kitchen. Wilson is more laid-back - hence her house being so messy, even though she employs plenty of help. It soon becomes apparent that Wilson has a bigger problem than general untidiness. Her muso husband seems completely detached, hiding away in his studio all day and refusing even to eat with Wilson and their children.
