The Seven Network achieved the rare trifecta of three different shows topping 1.5 million viewers on the same night.

My Kitchen Rules won Sunday with 1.863 million viewers while the second and final episode of the mini-series INXS: Never Tear Us Apart was second with 1.768 million watching.

Investigative program Sunday Night, which aired the second half of the interview with Rachelle Louise, the girlfriend of Simon Gittany who threw his partner from a high rise apartment, was third with 1.684 million.

The overnight OzTAM ratings figures are significant win for Seven in its ratings war with Nine.

It's common for one popular series to regularly top 1.5 million, such as MKR, but three different programs pulling those numbers on one night for one network is extremely rare.

The Nine Network's reality series The Block: Fans v Faves held up well in the face of stiff opposition.

The hammer and nails series was fourth with 1.361 million people tuning while Seven News (1.340 million) was fourth.

Network Ten's Sochi Olympics coverage has had the odd high point and on Sunday it had another one when it Snowboard Cross Final attracted an audience of 825,000 to finish eighth.

However, there's murder on the dance floor for Ten's reality series So You Think You Can Dance.

It was 19th with 313,000 viewers which was more than 100,000 fewer than its launch the previous Sunday when it was 18th with 466,000.
