Team Joel has received a timely boost with confirmation that coach Joel Madden's father-in-law Lionel Richie will perform at The Voice grand final.
In another coup for the Nine ratings juggernaut, Ritchie will sing a duet with his daughter's husband for the first time on Sunday's show.

The Voice judge Joel Madden will be joined by his father-in-law Lionel Richie for a performance in the finale of the show.
The Grammy-winning pop legend will be in Sydney for a whirlwind promotional tour for his album Tuskegee, which has been certified gold and peaked at number two on the ARIA album chart this year.
"Its no secret whose team Lionel will be waving the flag for," a statement from Richie's record label read.
